The long game
Cluj has spent fifteen years becoming a technology city. The creative sector grew alongside it without ever being funded like it. The result is a generation of makers who do their best work in the evenings and their paid work somewhere else.

Local companies that already commission creative work and could commission it here instead. Cultural institutions with programmes and no pipeline. The city administration, which has more levers than it uses.
What sustainable means here
That a creative in this city can be paid properly, repeatedly, by clients who come back. Not a grant that runs out. Not a festival once a year. Ordinary, recurring, commercial work.
